What Are Exclamation Marks on the Map in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Basically, whenever your Pawn spots something that they find interesting or worthwhile, they will mark it for you in this way. This can be something like a shortcut, a ladder that you can take, a chest you missed, and so on. After all, Pawns love to be useful and they will indicate everything they deem to be helpful. This is especially true if they have the Simple Inclination, as they will go out of their way to scout and explore every nook and cranny.

When a Pawn has marked something this way, the only way to get rid of this indicator is to go there and see what it is that they have found so interesting. To do this, you will often need to employ the Pawn Go Command. If you don’t know how this works, we have written a separate guide that explains what the Pawn Go Command is and how to use it. Pawns often spot things that we have unintentionally missed, and it can be very worthwhile to explore all the Exclamation Marks they have placed.
