Officials confirm plan to bring Chipotle to Somerset County

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — The popular eatery Chipotle Mexican Grill will soon be coming to the Somerset area.

Somerset County Planner Chadd Sines confirmed to 6 News that Chipotle would be one of three businesses that are set to open in the former Kings Family Restaurant in Somerset Township.

A land-use permit for an LED lit sign has been approved for the North Center Avenue location.

Sines did not know an opening date or what the two other businesses are.

This would be the second Chipotle to open in the area as the company has already finalized plans to open a location in the Johnstown area as well.
