YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — UPDATE | More information about the fatal crash has been released.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to the multi-vehicle accident at 12:27 a.m. to find a man trapped under a van in the northbound lanes.
Police say that the man, identified as 41-year-old Joseph Biswa, was unconscious but breathing.
Upon further investigation, police found that Biswa had been in an accident with another vehicle that left his car unable to be driven and blocking the southbound lanes.
Police say Biswa got out of his vehicle.
He was standing outside when another car crashed into his car, leading Biswa's car to strike his body, launching him over the center median into the northbound lanes.
There, he was hit by a tractor trailer and a van.
Police say Biswa was taken to a local hospital where he died.
