On Aug. 5 and 6, the cyclists will join about 6,200 riders riding up to 192 miles in the Massachusetts-based challenge.
They are: Bill Bohnsack, Kara Bohnsack, Anne Burleigh, Jonathan Burleigh, Will Brennan, Perry Boyle, Terry Bock, Beth Crump, Blair Crump, Joe Garofoli and Steve Wiggins.
This year’s riders are from more than 40 states and eight countries and their ages range from 15 to 84. Cyclists choose from 12 routes of varying mileage running through 46 towns.
The average participant trains for three months before the event and raises more than $7,000. No other single athletic event raises or contributes more money to charity than the challenge, organizers said.
