SPOILERS Included: What will happen to Dex? - General Hospital
Given the big news of Jason returning, what do we think will happen to Dex? Jason will most likely take back his role as Sonny’s number one, which is a role Dex has been fulfilling since Jason left.
I guess it would make Joss happy if Dex quit the mob; but since in the past they’ve always said you can’t just “quit” the mob, how does Dex just walk away?
Personally, I don’t like mob Jason, so I’d be happy if he came back with some of his Jason Q personality and he didn’t go back to the mob. But I doubt that will happen. If there ever was a doubt about who Sonny’s true love, end game person on this show, it’s always been Jason. So, I’m guessing he will step back into his mob hitman role.

I would love to see Dex, Dante and Drew work together to rescue Jason and then have the huge reveal that either Jason or Dante is his father. I’m still thinking Dante, but Jason as Dex’s father would be great too.

I still really want Dex to be AJ’s son. Being Jason’s son doesn’t bring much drama. And remember when Dex first came on, he seemed to have a very personal beef with Sonny and wanted to take him down so badly. At that point, I was sure he was AJ’s son looking for revenge. But with Jason returning to the show now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they make him Jason’s long lost son - although given Dex’s age, it’s hard to make Dex Jason’s kid, or Dante’s kid for that matter. We watched Jason on screen for most of his life in PC, they would have to do some creative manipulations to say Jason slept with some rando woman and got her pregnant when we never saw that on the show. AJ as the father would bring the most drama; Carly and Sonny would go nuts that Joss is dating AJ’s kid!

I’m thinking Dante based on the teenage secret between him and Cody. I think a teenage Dante got a girl at summer camp pregnant

I forgot about the secret between Cody and Dante, that could be the way they go. I just don’t see where that brings much drama if Dante has another kid out there in the world. And why would Dex keep that a secret for so long? By now, Dex knows Dante is a good guy, a standup cop, and an all around great dad, why wouldn’t he have told him already?

If Dex is the son of Jason or somebody else that might explain his mistreatment when he was a kid. He said how his brothers were awful to him and more than likely his parents as well. So being that he’s probably adopted he could have been living with a lot of resentment from his brothers and the adoptive parents probably didn’t take it too seriously about his mistreatment and put it down to just rough housing. Just my idea.

When Josslyn asked Sonny about Dex leaving the mob, he told her that Dex should come to him. Dex was not interested in leaving. My memory is fuzzy but was that ar the same time that Dex was working for Michael?

I believe so but after he & Michael started working to “protect” Sonny instead, Dex reiterated to Joss that he liked working for Sonny whether Carly had asked him to or not.

Dex dislikes his dad because he cheated on his mom. Dex dislikes his mom because she put up with the cheating. Dex dislikes his brothers because he beat him up. He was very unhappy at home (screams adoption that he doesn’t know about), and enlisted in the military right after graduation. I’m still holding out that Dex is Dante’s kid (also doesn’t know).

It would give Michael a real brother, I miss Michael and Morgan and he and Dex already have a good friendship. I like Dante but he tends to support Sonny and is not really objective
