Vinland Saga Season 2 English Dub Release Date Delay on Crunchyroll Because of Domestic and S*xua

Fans are worried that Vinland Saga Season 2 dubs of all episodes may not release soon at once due to some serious allegations against the lead Voice Actor.

While until now, Vinland Saga Season 2 has released two versions of the dubs. Both Crunchyroll and Netflix have their version of dubs. Netflix has been able to release up to 12 dubbed episodes, while Crunchyroll has released almost 22 dubbed episodes leaving only two episodes to be dubbed for Vinland Saga Season 2.

However, things are not going well with the Crunchyroll/ Setai Filmworks, as Mike Hiroshi Haimoto has been accused of assault.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Main Voice Actor Accused of Domestic and Sexual Assault: Dub Delayed

Earlier this year, Crunchyroll’s Voice Actor Mike Hiroshi Haimoto was accused of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault by his former girlfriend and Voice Actor Avery Smithhart.

On February 10th, 2023, Avery Smith took to Twitter and posted a Google Doc Link gathering all shreds of evidence against her former boyfriend.

In the long 49-page open letter, Smithhart pointed out everything that has happened to her throughout her relationship between 2020-2022.

Haimoto’s continuous lies about his past, his manipulation to keep her away from her friends and family, and domestic and sexual violence were all highlighted in the letter.

Avery Smithhart, famously known for Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul‘s Prushka, Land of the Lustrous‘ Cinnabar, also mentioned Haimoto’s insensitivity towards people on the autism spectrum. He cursed out one of his autistic relatives in foul language over the phone, according to the open letter.

He said everything casually while he trimmed his beard in the mirror. “You’re going to have a hell of time trying to get voiceover work with the Crunchyroll merger.” He told me he wasn’t staying in California but flying back to Texas because he was “taking off professionally.” 

Smithhart also submitted screenshots of police records, heated emails, and private investigator reports proving her side. She states that Haimoto seemed to be a compassionate person who was always helpful to his colleagues, but that was just a facade, as she regularly witnessed a different side of him.

Haimoto, currently the lead voice actor for Thorfinn, also known for his roles in  Natsume’s Book of Friends, Vermeil in Gold, has remained silent on his allegations since then. No official statement has been released by Crunchyroll on this issue either.

The final episode of Vinland Saga Season 2, which includes 24 episodes, aired on 19th June 2023. While fans speculate that after the Voice Actor remained silent on his deeds, he must have already been replaced by now, therefore the other two episodes could be delayed. We cannot confirm yet if this is the truth at all since there were no official statements by Crunchyroll.
