Students may attend the Ossining Extension Center to take credit classes towards an Associate degree or certificate, these courses are offered in the areas of business, math, science, arts, humanities and the social sciences.

Students may also enroll in a non-credit workforce development training program in healthcare. These programs include the opportunity to become a Certified Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, EKG Technician, Mental Health Technician, Home Health Aide, Pharmacy Technician or Clinical Medical Assistant.

The Center has partnerships with local hospitals, nursing homes, and behavioral healthcare facilities to provide students and alumni of the non-credit programs with externships, professional development and employment opportunities.

One of the most prestigious course offerings is the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program. The 12-week course is comprised of over 90 hours of classroom instruction and 30 hours of hands-on clinical experience in a healthcare facility. Upon completion of the program, students are certified by New York State and can practice as a CNA in various healthcare facilities.

Newly developed non-credit healthcare programs for fall 2016 include the Pharmacy Technician and Clinical Medical Assistant programs. After completion of these programs, students will be certified to work in their respective fields.
